Well done, good and faithful servant!

If you had to condense Sister Mary Carol Juckem’s 58 years as a Sister of the Divine Savior into just a phrase, it might be “good steward.” Wednesday of this week, this good steward went home to God.

Sr. Mary Carol dedicated most of her active ministry to bookkeeping for the Province and our former St. Mary’s Convent/Motherhouse, St. Mary’s Nursing Home and Salvatorian Heights. She also served 11 years as bookkeeper at Milwaukee’s Divine Savior High School starting in 1957.

Before entering the SDS congregation in 1954, Lorraine Juckem studied bookkeeping at the Milwaukee Business Institute. During her formation years and after first profession in 1956, Sr. Mary Carol further honed her bookkeeping skills by assisting in the Motherhouse finance office. She was a good steward of her talents as she carried out meticulous and conscientious stewardship of the Salvatorian Sisters’ financial resources for many years.

Visitation for Sr. Mary Carol on Tuesday, January 20 will take place at St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus Chapel, 3800 N. 92nd Street in Milwaukee at 12:30 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 pm. Sr. Mary Carol will be buried at Holy Cross Cemetery Wednesday morning.
