She served with joy in her heart

We’ll celebrate the life of Sister Diane Goetzinger, SDS (formerly Sr. Mary Louis) on Friday, October 13, 2017. Sr. Diane died Sunday, October 8 at the age of 78. Visitation at 12:15 p.m. and a remembering service at 1:00 p.m. will precede the Mass at St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus Chapel, 3800 N. 92nd Street in Milwaukee.

Diane was born in Milwaukee on November 28, 1939, the second child of Henry and Marcia (Giese) Goetzinger. She came to know the Salvatorian Sisters as a student at Mother of Good Counsel Parish School. Forty years later, she returned to the parish as a staff member providing pastoral care to homebound elders, and serving as liaison to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Her outreach ministries followed 20 years as an elementary teacher and 11 years caring for elder Sisters at Salvatorian Heights in Milwaukee. In all her ministries over 59 years of profession with the SDS community, Sr. Diane served with a smile, joy in her heart and quiet dedication. Read more about her life here.
