Love in the time of COVID-19

Hi Lisa & Rob and Gehl family,

Thank you so much for sending the beautiful hand-drawn pictures to our Salvatorian Sisters here at SSR. They continue to be surprised to receive mail from Catholic Memorial High School kids and families. The sisters are all doing well overall. It has been such an adjustment to not be able to eat meals together and are instead in their rooms most of the time. No Mass and no Eucharist. No streaming movies or having get-togethers in any way. Big changes for our retired sisters. Most understand what is going on but a few do not. Your pictures were a big ray of sunshine for them! I had to share Sister Jane’s picture that she taped to her walker. Several taped them up in their rooms. Luckily, they are still able to walk around our house. Currently they just can’t congregate in any way and have to keep at least 6-10 feet away from each other. All of them were active sisters until they came to live at SSR. Many were teachers or nurses. It is an honor for me to manage their house and serve these ladies who have served so many. So again, thank you!

God Bless and stay safe and healthy!
