Lord Jesus, the road to Bethlehem became the flight into Egypt. You were delivered from death so that You could gift us with life.
Today we pray for those fleeing from oppression, poverty, persecution, violence and war.
They are so vulnerable to human trafficking, rape and abuse.
Sometimes we are filled with fear and even suspicion, but we ask for the grace to remove any barriers in our minds and hearts.
May we realize these victims are our brothers and sisters.
We ask for Your help so we can welcome migrants and refugees with the generosity You have shown us, giving them safety and a new home.
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Savior. Amen.
