If you feel ready to dedicate your life to the mission of the Sisters of the Divine Savior, we have a four-step process to help you in this transition into our community:
Affiliate (6 months – 2 years)
The period of Affiliation gives you time to become more acquainted with Salvatorian Sisters and our life. A member of the New Membership Team will be in contact with you every four to six weeks and provide prayerful support, information on discernment and Salvatorian religious life. We will also provide opportunities for you to meet and spend time with us.
Candidate (1 year)
During this time you will live in our Candidate community with professed sisters as you deepen your relationship with God and the Salvatorian community. Volunteer ministry, paid part-time employment and/or study could be a part of this year as you continue to discern your call.
Novice (2 years)
During the first year of Novitiate you will be provided with opportunities to grow in Salvatorian life, learn about our charism and history and gain an understanding of the vows of poverty, celibacy and obedience. During the second year of Novitiate, you will experience a variety of ministry opportunities.
Temporary Vowed Member (5 years)
During this time you will be actively involved in ministry or study while living in a Salvatorian community as you strive to integrate your life leading toward final profession.
If you’re ready to take that first step to becoming a sister, learn how here.
